Whenever we talk about San Ren Xing, we can not help telling the story of the restaurant: This restaurant is opened by three brothers who all come from the Huang family. These three brothers are Ke Jia Ren, born in Vietnam, working in France when they were around ten years old, and working in the catering industry for more than ten years. Afterwards, in the beginning of 2004, they opened this western restaurant. It was a nice comfortable afternoon when I went there. I haven’t seen the big or second brother yet, but I met the very nice gentlemen- the third brother Mr. Huang Zhi Yun. He is quite a gentleman who can make a great cup of traditional European coffee, using a coffee machine that he made himself.

Mr. Huang began his interest in coffee brewing when he was eight years old. In a little over ten years, he became a professional coffee brewer and coffee expert. If you are lucky, you can see for yourself in the afternoon that Mr. Huang grinds the coffee bean with his self-made coffee machine. The fresh coffee bean doesn’t look very nice. It is small just like a normal bean, but after being cooked in the coffee machine, the water comes out, and the color slowly changes. After a while, the whole street is all surrounded in the coffee aroma. According to Mr. Huang, when the color of the smoke turns from black to white, the coffee bean is ready. The size of the cooked coffee bean is twice the normal one, and it is very beautiful. According to Mr. Huang, after the coffee bean been cooked, you have to wait for about 15 days, then you can use it to make delicious coffee.



There are three best dishes in this restaurant:Goose Liver, Snail, Duck Breast.
